Creating and Maintaining Quality Housing in the Liberty City Community

Becoming a first-time homeowner is part of the American Dream – and the Liberty City Trust is happy to do all it can to make this dream a reality for you. Assisting long-time residents in maintaining quality housing in the community is also critical for us.  Enabling them to upgrade their properties to be in code compliance and resilient to our changing climate in South Florida.

The Liberty City Trust works with partners such as the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County and other entities to invest in and create housing opportunities for new and current residents.

All the Liberty City residents should have access to housing programs and opportunities that improve their quality of life and provide them security and stability.

The goals of the Liberty City Trust are:

  1. To equip and educate the residents about resources to help maintain their home and community.
  2. To serve the residents with integrity and respect.
  3. Assist with home purchases through the first-time homebuyers and down payment assistance programs provided through the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County,
  4. Connect our residents to housing programs and opportunities that will empower the community.
  5. To ensure that all families and individuals are living in quality housing they can afford.
  6. To work side by side with the residents to combat blight throughout their neighborhood.
  7. To expand affordable housing choice.
  8. To enhance the quality of life for its residents.
